Glendon man arrested after stolen vehicle find

Mounties in Athabasca say they’ve arrested a Glendon man in connection to stolen vehicles. Police from Athabasca and Boyle say they were in Athabasca County looking for a wanted man when they found a property housing multiple stolen trucks and ATVs. At least seven have since been seized by the RCMP in relation to the investigation.

30 year-old Matthew Marler of Glendon was among the four suspects arrested. Mounties say he was also wanted on warrants including one from Bonnyville. He faces new charges including possession of property obtained by a crime and will see an Athabasca courthouse on January 22nd.

“Partnerships across RCMP Detachments and specialized units is critical to the success of our operations,” said Constable Guillaume Wilson, EADRCRU officer. “This joint operation allowed us to recover multiple stolen vehicles.”
