A pair of Lakeland boys are vying for a spot representing Football Alberta. Kistin and Navarone Watchmaker are both on the offensive line for the Bonnyville Voyageurs. They were recently part of a 400 player tryout at a camp in Edmonton to help stock a pair of teams that will represent the best of the football association.
Both boys were part of the 130 selected to move on to the final selection camp in Calgary starting April 5th. Football Alberta says a pair of teams will be picked from the camp. One under-17 club will head to Maui to take on the local Hawaiian high school teams as well as a matchup against the-17 squad representing Saskatchewan. The under-18 club will represent the province at the Football Canada Cup in Kingston coming up in July.
