Extreme cold warning ended for the Lakeland

Environment Canada says the warning has now ended for the Lakeland region.

========================================================================================

Environment Canada says it’s not going to get any warmer for the next little while. An extreme cold warning has been issued for parts of northern Alberta including the Lakeland. The warning is usually issued when the temperature or wind chill is expected to reach levels ranging from minus 30 to minus 55 for at least two hours.

Risk of frostbite and hypothermia is now elevated. Officials are asking you to keep emergency supplies in your vehicle in case of breakdown. They’re also asking you to keep an eye on your pets if they go outside.
