Toboggan used in New Years wire caper

Mounties in Elk Point say a suspect was using a toboggan to haul stolen copper wire away from a job site. Police say on New Years Day they were sent over to the Windsor Salt plant in Lindbergh. Workers there say copper wire went missing at around 9 am that morning.

The RCMP says the suspect dragged the wire to a white Chevrolet pickup truck. The truck featured a toolbox and tidy tank in the box as well as a large white sticker on the back window. Mounties are asking anyone who may have info on the theft to call the detachment at 780-724-3964 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
