New year, same strange Alberta weather. The Lakeland welcomed 2019 in on Monday night with lows dipping into the minus 32 range says Environment Canada. A high-pressure Arctic air mass decided to crash the party for many around Northern Alberta. By today the cold air was gone, with temperatures hovering around the freezing mark for most of the day.
The Weather Network says a good dose of warm Pacific air should push our region back into well above-seasonable temperatures. They predict that there may be as much as a 20-degree difference between temps tomorrow and Monday night.
