Mounties lay murder charges in death of Saddle Lake woman

The RCMP say a pair of suspects are now facing first-degree murder charges in the death of a Saddle Lake woman. Police say 26-year-old Jena Lynn Hunter and 23-year-old Jermaine Eugene Steinhauer, both of whom are from Edmonton, are now in custody after an investigation into the death of 25-year-old Lindsay Jackson.

The body of Jackson was found in a part of the North Saskatchewan River near the hamlet of Duvernay on October 3rd. An autopsy conducted the next day determined that her death was a homicide.

Both suspects will make their first court appearances on December 20th in St. Paul Provincial Court.
