Cold Lake jets a part of Grey Cup parade

A staple of the Grey Cup will feature a Cold Lake twist on Saturday. The annual Grey Cup parade will feature a fly-by from a pair of BAE Hawk jets from 419 Squadron based at 4 Wing Cold Lake. The jets are used by the Royal Canadian Air Force to train fighter pilots at the base.

The parade and festivities around the Grey Cup began in 1948 when Calgary Stampeder fans brought their chuckwagons to Toronto. The 106th Grey Cup kicks off in Edmonton on November 25th.
