The Town of Bonnyville has signed the development permit for new Scaffolding and Drilling Rig Training course. On May 12th, Town Council held their regular meeting, Mayor of Bonnyville, Gene Sobolewski, says, “we signed our development agreement with Northern Lights to have that Drilling and Scaffolding course.”
Northern Lights School Division will be offering the first of its kind high school level, Scaffolding and Drilling Rig Training Course to Bonnyville Centralized High School Students. The town was one of the major supporters of the course says Mayor Sobolewski, “everything is good to go, and again The Town is an adamant supporter of that kind of programming and we’re very excited that it’s moving forward.”
The land, located in the industrial park, has been donated by The Town of Bonnyville. The course will feature a working rig donated from Ensign. Northern Lights School Division also received Provincial grants; the course is scheduled for a fall start with the ability to train 30 students per semester.
