Hit-and-run outside police station results in charges

A hit-and-run right in front of the Bonnyville RCMP detachment on 54th Avenue has resulted in charges being laid. Police are saying on Oct 31st they didn’t have to go too far to see the remnants of an accident. Witnesses on scene were able to provide mounties with a good description of a fleeing Kenworth cargo truck.

The RCMP was able to catch up to the truck about a kilometre down highway 28. The 33-year-old driver who was from Edmonton will now face charges of failing to remain at the scene of an accident among others.

No one was hurt in the crash.
