Glendon Fire says donations from ball will help whole crew

The Glendon Fire department is celebrating a very successful fundraiser. The results of the ” Glendon Fire Fall Fundraiser Ball” are starting to be counted up. Firefighter Derek Cote says the hundreds in attendance dug deep and helped the station out.

“We don’t have final numbers with a couple of last-minute donations but with auctions and raffle and 50/50 we cleared almost $25,000.”

The money was being raised to help outfit a new truck in the fleet. Cote says the amount is “very impressive.” The fire department in Glendon says now that they have the equipment the roster of firefighters can start to grow. Cote says joining the team is a simple as stopping by the fire hall.

“Always looking for more. We have a lot of lockers we can fill up. We’re always looking for more people.”

Drill night at the hall is every Monday at 7 pm.
