Taser-weapon, drugs found during stop: Lac La Biche mounties

Alberta Sheriffs and the Lac La Biche RCMP say a joint effort has resulted in drugs seized and an arrest. At 2 am on October 18th, an Alberta Sheriff pulled over a car inside Lac La Biche. During the stop, the sheriff noticed what looked like a club inside the car. The club turned out to be what police are calling “…A large, heavy flashlight which when a certain button was pressed, conducted electricity was deployed similar to that of a Taser.”

Police are also saying a further search turned up both Methamphetamine and cocaine as well as MDMA and other drugs. A 25-year-old man from Lac La Biche will now face charges that include multiple counts of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking. He’s since been released and will appear in Lac La Biche court on December 10th.
