Mounties are saying a pair of women now face charges after a search warrrant turned up firearms, drugs and other items. Police say the investigation started on September 25th in the Frog Lake and Fishing Lake areas. an attempt to round up some suspects wanted on warrants eventually led police to the Elizabeth Metis Settlement.
Mounties executed a search warrant on a home in the settlement. Police are saying drugs, guns and stolen property were all found during their search.
A 44-year-old and 32-year-old woman now face charges that include possession of stolen property and unauthorized possession of firearms. Both will be in Cold Lake court on October 17th.
