RCMP investigating death of missing Saddle Lake woman

The body of a missing Saddle Lake woman has been discovered near Duvernay. Mounties say they discovered her body on October 3rd in a section of the North Saskatchewan River near the community. An autopsy was conducted the next day where investigators confirmed her identity as 25-year-old Lindsay Marie Jackson. Jackson had been reported missing by the RCMP on October 1st. The death is being treated as suspicious. A cause of death has yet to be released.

The RCMP Major Crimes unit has now taken over the investigation along with St. Paul RCMP and the mountie forensic unit. Mounties are asking anyone who may have info on the crime to call the St. Paul RCMP at 780-645-8880 or Crime Stoppers.
