Alberta Food Drive back in Cherry Grove

Residents in Cherry Grove are being encouraged to leave a little extra food out on the porch. The local Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has been busy leaving bags at properties around the community. On Saturday the group is hoping that the bags will be filled with donations to the local food bank.

Volunteers will be picking up the food before 10 am on Saturday. Make sure all food being donated is visible from the street and is non-perishable.

The action is part of the Alberta Food Drive program. Last year the group picked up around 6000 pounds of donated food.
