The Cold Lake Wings of the Western Provinces Hockey Association didn’t have to look far for their most recent pick-up. The Wings have inked 2001-born forward Anson Smith. Smith is a product of the Lakeland Panthers of the Northern Alberta Hockey League. He picked up 26 points with the club in 2016/2017. Last year, he played AAA in Fort Saskatchewan.

The Wings are currently in the middle of their training camp. The first time the club will see action is September 28th in an exhibition game against the Edson Aeros at Imperial Oil Place.
