Glendon says water is off at 10 am Friday

Glendon says residents should be prepared to have no water for a few hours on Friday. The village will be shutting off the taps at 10 am Friday morning as crews work to install an isolation valve near the community. Public Works Supervisor Brian Mack says the valve will help with any future problems with water flow in the future.

“If we get a water break north of the water treatment plant we won’t have to shut the whole village down. It’s going in so we can isolate it.”

It’s expected that the entire village will be affected. Residents were warned in a recent Facebook post.

Officials are hoping the repairs should only take about four hours but caution that they may take longer. They are advising that residents safely store water for the duration of the construction.
