Cold Lake says the pieces are coming together nicely in the planning of the 55 plus Winter Games in the community. The 2019 edition will see Cold Lake play host to athletes from across the province. Mayor Craig Copeland says making the games distinct to the city will leave a great impression on visitors.
“We’re putting a Cold Lake spin on the opening ceremonies. We want the participants to come to our city and leave with memories that will not be easily forgotten.”
The volunteer board is up and running There is still a need for volunteers for the games themselves.

The games will be taking place from March 1 to 3 next year. Athlete registration begins on February 28.
