Hanson takes UCP candidate election

The United Conservative Party in Bonnyville- Cold Lake- St. Paul has chosen its candidate for the 2019 provincial election. Dave Hanson was announced as the winner of the candidate election. The UCP association is saying a total of just over 1300 ballots were cast in voting held over three days. Hanson was chosen over Cold Lake Mayor Craig Copeland and teacher Glenn Spiess.

Hanson is no stranger to the Alberta Legislature. He currently serves as MLA in the riding of St.Paul- Lac La Biche – Two Hills. Hanson posted a small statement to his Facebook page after learning the results.

A provincial election is expected to be held in Alberta no later than May of 2019.
