Kikino prepares to fill vacant seat in by-election

The Kikino Metis Settlement is working toward filling a vacant seat on its council. Cory Cardinal was serving as Chair of the council when he passed away after battling cancer in July. A by-election has been called and is due to take place on October 15th.

Nominations for the by-election were open today. An advance poll has been set for September 29th. The Kikino Metis Settlement is about 120 kilometres west of Cold Lake and home to about 934 residents.
