Portage College getting ready to celebrate half-century

Memories, emotions and smiles galore are expected as Portage College gets ready to celebrate 50 years in the Lakeland. The school is hosting an alumni event on Friday that will celebrate the school as well as its First Nation and Metis founders.

Also on tap for celebrations are tours throughout the Lac La Biche campus as well as barbecues and other events. Portage College was started as single campus and has now grown to include Cold Lake, St. Paul, Boyle, Frog Lake, Saddle Lake and Goodfish Lake.

The celebration begins at 1 pm on Friday. Details can be found at the Portage College website.
