Program for better health planned in the Lakeland

Alberta Health Services is hoping a program offered in the Lakeland will help those suffering from chronic ailments. AHS has announced a series of health workshops with a few stops around the area. The meetings, called “Better Choices, Better Health” are open to anyone 18 years and older.

AHS hopes the talks will influence people suffering to make healthy choices in their struggle. It says the program is ideal for anyone who may have suffered a stroke, heart attack, Cancer or even fighting addiction.

Workshops will be hosted in Bonnyville at the Friendship Centre. Cold Lake will also host at it’s Alberta Supports office. St. Paul has been tapped to play host as well.

Anyone interested in attending the meetings is asked to call 1-877-349-5711. The workshops are completely free. More information and schedules can be found at the AHS website.
