Elk point mounties say truck on fire stolen from local company

RCMP in Elk Point are looking for help putting the pieces together on a vehicle fire involving a stolen truck. Early in the morning of Aug 7th police say they responded to a vehicle fire on Township Road 572 just northwest of Elk Point.

Mounties say they found a destroyed pickup truck. Police say an investigation has shown the truck was stolen from an oilfield services company located south of Elk Point.

Mounties are asking anyone who may have information to call the Elk Point detachment at 780-724-3964 or Crime Stoppers.
