Fire at Power Merchants in St. Paul might not be accidental says mounties

RCMP believe arson may have been the cause of a fire at a recreational vehicle dealership in the Lakeland. Police are saying at around 5:30 am this morning crews from the St. Paul and Mallaig fire department were called out along with police to two fires in a commercial space in St. Paul.

The fires were put out and no one was hurt. Officials with the RCMP have confirmed the fires took place at Power Merchants at both the warehouse and dealership. It is not known yet the extent of damage or cost of the fires.

RCMP are saying their preliminary investigation is leading towards arson. The RCMP forensic identification section and St. Paul RCMP are now investigating.

Mounties are asking anyone with information on the fires to call St. Paul RCMP at 780-645-8870 or Crime Stoppers.
