A Bonnyville Man has been Charged with Theft and Weapons Offenses

The Cold Lake RCMP responded to a report of a suspicious person on April 19th, when they arrived, a man fled from a vehicle in the area which was later discovered to be displaying a stolen licence plate.

Police searched the vehicle and found a long flashlight that doubled as a stun gun, a large container of bear spray and replica firearms and a small amount of cocaine was also found in the vehicle.

A 24-year-old man from Bonnyville was located soon after he fled by officers and charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and theft under $5,000. According to the RCMP, there were two other occupants in the vehicle who described themselves as escorts.
