MD hosting open houses, survey on rec needs

Before any decisions are made on recreational needs the MD of Bonnyville wants a good picture of what residents want. On August 10th, postcards will be put in mailboxes all around the MD inviting residents to take part in an online survey. a website, which will only be available starting on that day, and other information will be on the card.

MD Reeve Greg Sawchuk says the survey allows decision makers to pick right the first time.

“It will help us plan recreation activities and facilities going forward, and to make sure we are providing our residents with the best quality of life possible.”

A pair of open houses regarding the rec ideas have now been planned. On September 11th, the Cold Lake Energy Centre will host discussions. The next night, The C2 in Bonnyville will be the stage of talks.

The deadline for the survey is pegged at September 7th. The entire needs assessment program should be wrapped up by the end of October.

Anyone looking to complete the survey offline can head to the MD main office. To have the survey mailed to you, call the Parks & Rec Department at 780-826-3972.
