Bonnyville pontiacs unveil new jerseys for 2018-2019 season

A fresh season for the Bonnyville Pontiacs will also come with some fresh fashion. The club unveiled brand new jerseys at a press conference at Shaw House today. Robb Hunter Director of Business Operations with the Pontiacs. He says the change is a fresh new start for the franchise.

“We struggled a little bit on the ice last year. Really, it was time for a new beginning with a fresh face if you will.”

The jerseys replace a kit based off of the Pittsburg Penguins in the NHL. The new logo, which sits on a red and black arrowhead, will now proudly be placed on the colours of the expansion Vegas Golden Knights. The jersey was the brainchild of the team and Pulp Cottage, a digital design company in the Lakeland.

Hunter says the jerseys are truly going to be specific to Bonnyville.

“No one else in Junior A hockey has that colour scheme. We had the opportunity to go with metaphorically and literally something brand new.”

Merchandise is now available to buy with the new look by contacting the team. Early-bird season tickets are still available as well.

The Bonnyville Pontiacs see their first home action in the 2018-2019 regular season on September 21st against the Sherwood Park Crusaders.
