A Calgary Woman has Pled Guilty of Vehicular Murder for Crash Outside of Mallaig

A Calgary Woman has pled guilty of vehicular murder in relation to a crash last July near Mallaig. Fallon Jessica Ouellette pled guilty, on April 20th, in a St. Paul Court of causing the death of two people and causing bodily harm to another.

In July of 2014, Ouellette caused the death of 49-year-old Dave Fragoso and 52-year-old Charlotte Patterson, while driving with a blood alcohol level over .08. Ouellette also pled guilty to causing bodily harm to a then 12-year-old girl, while under the influence. The now 13-year-old was pulled from the flaming wreckage and survived the collision.

Ouellette, who has been placed under conditions, such as a curfew, to not be behind the wheel of a motor vehicle, and to abstain from the consumption of drugs and alcohol, will be sentenced in September. It is likely Ouellette will face two to four years in prison for the offenses.
