Bonnyville mounties handle multiple drug arrests

RCMP in Bonnyville say investigations have resulted in drug-related arrests in separate incidents in and around Bonnyville. Mounties say on July 18th the Bonnyville General Investigative Service was able to make an arrest in town after investigating a drug trafficking ring.

A 46-year-old woman is now facing charges that include charges that include the trafficking of methamphetamine. She’ll see Bonnyville Court on August 7th.

On July 20th the Bonnyville RCMP GIS teamed up with members of the Cold Lake detachment among others to serve a warrant on a home in Fort Kent. Police say a search of the house led them to find both cocaine as well as meth. Mounties are also saying some drug trafficking paraphernalia was also found.

A 32-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman from Fort Kent are now facing charges that include possession of controlled substances with the intent to traffic. Both are due to see Bonnyville Court on July 24th.
