One of the more strange acts of vandalism is going on in St. Paul, but authorities say its no less serious. Shop owners on main street have recently seen suspects pulling plants out of various planters in front of businesses.
The issue comes to light as the community readies for the Communities in Bloom competition on August 1st. Town officials are saying some of the stolen plants include those from the Incredible Edibles program , which allows the public to sample fruits and vegetables grown in barrels.
Security footage from one shop has been passed over to authorities. Anyone with information on the vandalism is asked to call Champions for Change at (780) 645-5782.
