A Bonnyville Man is Arrested Following Threatening Behaviour at The Hospital

On April 25th, Bonnyville RCMP responded to a call at The Bonnyville Hospital, where a man was wielding a bow. Police checked the man to make sure he was not armed with arrows, and although no arrows were found, police did discover a knife and ammunition. RCMP seized the weapons and allowed the man to seek medical attention.

The following day, April 26th, The RCMP received a complaint from the neighbor of the same male stating that the male had threatened to kill him. Apparently, the male had fallen in his yard and the neighbour refused to assist him. This prompted the male to advise his neighbour he was going to get his shotgun and shoot him.The male was arrested and transported to the Bonnyville Hospital to be cleared for incarceration. While there, the male advised that he wanted to shoot people from the roof of his home.

Through an investigation at the hospital, it was learned that the same male had attended the hospital in March and after being medically cleared he refused to leave.  During that incident, the male attempted to punch one of the nurses.

After being cleared from the hospital, on April 26th, the male was transported to the Bonnyville RCMP Detachment where he remains in custody facing charges of Assault, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Uttering Threats x2 and Tresspassing.
