Larry Draper will not be returning as assistant coach and assistant general manager for the Bonnyville Pontiacs in 2018-19. Reports out today suggest the move comes as the Pontiacs reshuffle their finances. Officials from the club have stated it was not a performance-based decision.
Draper originally came to the Pontiacs in 2012 after three years with the Spruce Grove Saints. He had also previously been a hockey coach with youth hockey in the Edmonton area.
Drapers hometown is Sherwood Park. It is not known if he will eventually move on to a different AJHL club.
