St. Paul RCMP make big bust at Goodfish Lake

Mounties from St. Paul are saying a search warrant on a home in Goodfish Lake has turned up drugs and stolen property. Police are saying an investigation lead them to the home on June 30th.

RCMP Corporal Ronald Bumbry says two men where arrested at the scene.

“Two males were arrested without incident and a significant quantity of a substance believed to be cocaine was seized.”

Mounties say they also found Canadian cash, various weapons and some other items. A quad, previously stolen from the Smoky Lake area, was also found.

A 26 and 24 year old man, both from Goodfish Lake, are now facing charges including possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Bumbry says this isn’t the first time police have dealt with the suspects.

“Both individuals are known to police from previous incidents. They are currently being held in custody.”

Both men will see St. Paul provincial court tomorrow.
