Update- Severe Thunderstorm warning issued for the Lakeland

Updated June 8th 2018 4:05 pm

Environment Canada has now upgraded the watch to a warning.
==============

Some wet and wild weather has a chance to hit the Lakeland this afternoon. Environment Canada says conditions are favourable for the development of dangerous thunderstorms that may be capable of producing damaging wind gusts, damaging hail and torrential rain.

Some of these thunderstorms are expected to be severe this afternoon and will persist into the evening hours as they move slowly to the Saskatchewan border.

Very strong wind gusts can damage buildings, down trees and blow large vehicles off the road. Heavy downpours are likely to cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.

The watch will continue until conditions improve or diminish.
