Man arrested in St. Paul, charged with Edmonton murder

Edmonton Police Service has arrested a man in St. Paul after investigating a suspicious fire in the City. Police say on May 30th the body of Evan Wilfred Moonias was found in an apartment fire near 117th Avenue and 80th street in Edmonton. Edmonton police officials say the body had obvious signs of trauma and started their investigation. The fire was later ruled as arson and the death of the man determined to be a homicide.

On Saturday, homicide detectives from the city were in St. Paul and arrested 33-year-old Jonathan Millsap. Millsap has been transported back to Edmonton to face charges, which include second-degree murder. Police are saying they believe Millsap and the victim knew each other. Investigators have yet to say a cause of death.
