RCMP in Cold Lake are trying to put the pieces together in the cause of a fatal accident over the weekend. Police are saying at around 9 pm June 3rd on the Cold Lake First Nation an SUV was involved in a rollover after the driver lost control. Two occupants were in the vehicle at the time. The 28-year-old driver was eventually taken to Edmonton with what police are calling “serious injuries”. Unfortunately, the 55-year-old passenger he was with was pronounced dead at the scene. Both of the victims were from the Cold Lake area.
RCMP say no other vehicles played a part in the crash. Investigators are on scene and all other factors for the accident are being considered.
