Lakeland-area 4-H clubs are getting ready to show off for Achievement Day in Bonnyville. The day is being hosted at the Bonnyville Rodeo Grounds and will see multiple clubs taking part. One such is the Ardmore 4-H Beef Club. Lori Davediuk is assistant leader of the Ardmore 4-H Beef Club, she expects Monday to be jam-packed

“So the day is going to start off at 11 am. We’ll do the 4-H pledge, Oh Canada. Then we’ll introduction are judges for the event. We’ll introduce the beef clubs, Ardmore Beef, Beaver River Beef and the Bonnyville 4-H Beef Clubs.”

Throughout the year, 4-H members learn about care for their 4-H animals. Davediuk says local veterinarians and producers speak to the young producers about skills and tips when it comes to the rural lifestyle.

The day will feature a beef sale of 4-H raised cattle. Davediuk says potential buyers will have an easy time when they make a bid.
