Heat warning issued for the Lakeland

Environment Canada says it’s going to stay warm for the time being. A heat warning was issued today. The warning calls for maximum daily temperatures reaching near 29 degrees or above and minimum overnight temperatures near 14 degrees or above expected all the way to Thursday night. A break in the heat could come by next Friday.

Environment Canada is asking you to consider rescheduling outdoor activities to cooler hours of the day. Taking frequent breaks from the heat, spending time outdoors at your house or at cooled public buildings (including malls or indoor pools). They are also reminding you to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.

Anyone with questions or concerns about the heat or heatstroke can find more information on the Alberta Health Services Website.
