MD of Bonnyville says Fire Restriction is now in effect

Hot and dry weather has forced the MD of Bonnyville to issue a fire restriction today. Effective immediately, All fire permits including burning barrels are currently suspended. The MD is asking that all outdoor fires, either with permit or not, be extinguished.

The Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority has stated that portable propane fire pits, gas and propane stoves and supervised campfires in approved fire pits in campgrounds and homes are still allowed under the new rules. They are reminding the public to keep up to date by visiting the Alberta Fire Bans website.
