The MD of Bonnyville wants to be safe as hot and dry weather continues to push the risk of fire up. A Fire Advisory was announced yesterday around the municipality, including the protected Lac La Biche forest area.
The new set of rules will see no new fire permits issued for non essential burning. Fireworks as well as Tannerite shooting targets are also not allowed for the time being. Fire permits issued before the advisory as well as small campfires and burning barrels are still being allowed.
The MD is asking anyone with questions to call the Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority at 780-826-4755. The Alberta Fire Ban website is also available to keep up to date with information.
