A Lakeland middle school is celebrating a new principal for the next school year. Jeannine Ellis was announced as the new leader at H.E Bourgoin middle school in Bonnyville. If her name sounds familiar, it’s because Ellis has been the principal at Iron River school since 2015.
“During her time with the division, Jeannine has distinguished herself as administrator who is
committed to building strong relationships with students, parents and the community,” said
Superintendent Rick Cusson. “She is passionate about ensuring that all students have the resources
they need to be successful.”
Ellis was nominated for an Edwin Parr award in 2016 as an outstanding first-year teacher. She’ll take the reins of H.E Bourgoin in fall 2018.
