NLPS has a new Director of Facilities

Some Lakeland schools will have a new leader when it comes to the buildings they use. Leah Rout was announced today as the new Director of Facilities for Northern Lights Public Schools. Rout comes to the Division from Ontario, where she most recently served as the Supervisor of Capital Projects – Engineering Services at the Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board.

“Leah is well-acquainted with the demanding challenges and responsibilities that accompany the role of Director of Facilities,” says Terry Moghrabi, Northern Lights Public Schools’ Associate Superintendent of Human Resources. “We were impressed with her practical knowledge of major infrastructure projects and her dedication to the job.”

Rout’s first days on the job have been spent touring the various schools and other facilities across the Division.

“The team here at Northern Lights have clearly done a fantastic job and all of the facilities that I’ve seen so far have keep kept in excellent repair and are in really good shape. I’m looking forward to continuing that standard of excellence.”
