Construction on 51st Avenue in Bonnyville will Begin Soon

NuEdge Construction has been awarded tender for the construction project on 51st avenue Bonnyville. The Town of Bonnyville went about the application for tender process a little differently this time around.

Mayor of Bonnyville, Gene Sobolewski explains”we pre-qualified our contractors because we want to make sure the guy that is doing the work is familiar with it and knows what some of the issues are.” Mayor Sobolewski says it is very important when doing this type of work that the best contractors are awarded the job, noting that “you can’t go digging up waterlines, and we’re turning off water and replacing water and sewer and having people outta water and sewer for months on end.”

After many great bidders applied in the end, Mayor Sobolewski says the town chose NuEdge Construction, a company out of Camrose, which has years of experience. 51st avenue is in need of waterline repairs, which are schedule for this spring/summer construction season.
