Three Lakeland Area Teens Arrested for Break and Enters, Postal Theft & Drugs

*** Update on Theft From Canada Post:  The Bonnyville RCMP Detachment Constables continued their hard work with the multiple Theft of Mail files, and not only arrested and charged those responsible, but through investigation also recovered the stolen mail.***

Theft from Canada Post and Break and Enter to Spring Beach Resort
On April 14th, 2015, at 10:00 AM, the Bonnyville RCMP Detachment had received a complaint of a break and enter at the Spring Beach Resort near Bonnyville, AB.  By the time the Bonnyville RCMP arrived, the suspects had fled the scene however their vehicle description with an associated licence plate was provided to the police.
On April 15th, 2015 the Bonnyville RCMP Detachment received a complaint that the Canada Post super boxes had been broken into in Fort Kent, AB..  When Bonnyville RCMP Member’s attended, they noted that all of the boxes had been opened with most of the mail stolen. Through multiple complaints received by both the Bonnyville and Cold Lake RCMP Detachments, it was reported that over 500 mail boxes were broken into between Fort Kent, AB and Ardmore, AB. Police believed the incidents in both locations to be related.
Later in the day on April 15th, 2015, at approximately 11:30 PM, the Bonnyville RCMP located the suspect vehicle from the Spring Beach Resort break and enter and a traffic stop was conducted with the vehicle.  Two occupants fled the scene at the time of the traffic stop with the remaining 2 occupants arrested for possession of methamphetamine and possession of a prohibited weapon and transported to the Bonnyville RCMP Detachment.  Several items in the vehicle were also identified as stolen property.  Through investigation police learned that the suspects involved in the Spring Breach Resort Break and Enter were also responsible for the thefts from mail.
On April 16th, 2015 the remaining two suspects involved in the thefts from mail were located and arrested by the Bonnyville RCMP Detachment.  The Bonnyville RCMP Detachment conducted their thorough investigation and all 4 males arrested were charged.
A 25 year old male resident of rural Bonnyville faces charges of Possession of Stolen Property under $5000.00, Possession of Break in Tools, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Possession of Methamphetamine, Theft of Mail x2, Mischief x2 in relations to the Thefts from Canada Post along with Break and Enter and Theft in relation to the Spring Beach Resort Break and Enter. He currently remains in police custody.
A 18 year old male resident of the town of Bonnyville faces charges of Possession of Stolen Property under $5000.00, Possession of Break in Tools, Theft of Mail Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose x 2, Mischief, Possession of Methamphetamine, Fail to Comply with Conditions of Release x7, and driving while disqualified in relation to the Thefts from Canada Post.  He also faces charges of Break and Enter, Mischief and Failing to Comply with Conditions of Release x3 in relation to the Spring Beach Resort Break and Enter.  He currently remains in police custody.
A 17 year old male resident of Vegreville, AB faces charges of Possession of Stolen Property under $5000.00, Possession of Break in Tools, Theft of Mail x2, Mischief x2, Failing to Comply with Conditions of Release x 3 in relation to the Thefts from Canada Post.  He also faces charges of Break and Enter, Mischief and Failing to Comply with Conditions of Release in relation to the Spring Beach Break and Enter.
A 17 year old male resident of Fort Kent, AB faces charges of Theft from Mail x 2 and Mischief x 2 in relation to the Thefts from Canada Post.
