St.Paul RCMP say Police Dog helped to get suspect

St. Paul mounties are saying their police service dog was a big part in nabbing a suspect. On February 13th, mounties from the Boyle RCMP detachment responded to a call on the Buffalo Lake Metis Settlement where a 41 year old man had reportedly assaulted his spouse and fled.

St.Paul Police Dog Services were called out help find him, and three year old Hooch was able to track down the suspect down, even with a three hour head start. The man was taken into custody without further struggle. Hooch is one of many police service dogs trained for five months with the RCMP.
