Walk planned for Goodfish Lake infant killed

A walk in support of an infant who died last year is being organized in the Lakeland. Baby Veronica Poitras was killed on August 28th , 2017 in Cold Lake. She was only 16 months old. 35 year old Sherman Robert Whitford was charged in connection to her death. He has since been granted bail.

The family of Poitras has planned a 50 kilometre walk on Saturday. The walk will start in the community of St.Brides and move northwest to the Goodfish Lake First Nation, where Veronica was laid to rest. The family is looking for help with donations and volunteers.
