MD says rural cat spay/neuter program looks good

The MD of Bonnyville Council has given the go-ahead with a pilot program to spay or neuter cats living in rural areas. Council says a maximum of $6,200 will be used for the program, which will feature a local veterinarian providing discounted services.

The purpose of the program is to get a maximum number of rural cats spayed or neutered. To make sure they’re only getting cats from the country, residents who want to register to have a cat spayed or neutered will need to provide some paperwork to prove where they live and that they are the owners.
