Bonnyville author inspiring women of the Lakeland with book release

A Bonnyville author is releasing a new book with an goal of inspiring women around the Lakeland. Cheryl Hunter is an author from Bonnyville who has just finished her newest, “Heroine”. The book is described as shining a light on the issues women face today and sharing how to find freedom in the flaws. Hunter says some of the book has come from a personal place.

“My own body image issues as a woman, and then becoming a mom and having this added pressure of being the perfect mom.”

Hunter says the reader will be able to open up, talk and even celebrate their own flaws and what makes them unique.

“That’s what this is about, is setting yourself up to be your own heroine, so then we can lead our own children and show that example to them.”

The book will be on store shelves April 30th. Hunter invites everyone to a book launch party at the Players Lounge in Bonnyville at 7:30 pm that day to celebrate. More information about Cheryl can be found at her website.
