Members of the St. Paul and Elk Point Fire Departments were going head to head for charity, with an Italian twist. The two departments were featured in a relay spaghetti eating contest on March 26th at the St. Paul Boston Pizza in an attempt to find out just which group could chow down more noodles and sauce.
St Paul came out the winner, having ate 13 more grams of the pasta. The real winners are the charities the firefighters were supporting, with $960 raised for the St. Paul Food Bank and $762.25 for Elk Point Palliative Care.
