Mallaig arena could see a face lift soon, with some money coming from the County of Saint Paul. Representatives from the arena were on hand at the county council meeting to discuss funding for renovations on the building.
Costs are estimated at about $750,000 for renovations, which would include installing a new ice plant upgrading change rooms among others. The county approved $50,000 in it’s 2018 budget for the upgrades. They’ve also given the go-ahead on an additional $187,000 grant to be applied to the 2019 budget.
