4 wing member honored for bravery

A military member stationed at 4 Wing Cold Lake has been awarded the Medal of Bravery from the Governor General of Canada. Master Corporal Alisha St. George received the medal from Governor General Julie Payette in Ottawa after she helped save one of her friends from drowning off the coast of San Diego back in 2015.

St. George swam out into the ocean and held her friend afloat in the water waiting for a lifeguard. When the rescue came, St.George helped and then swam back to shore on her own.

St. George is currently with 10 Field Technical Training Squadron at CFB Cold Lake.
